Title
A Survey of Symptom Experiences and Physical Activity Engagement Among Survivors of Adolescent and Young Adult Cancers

Description
A Survey of Symptom Experiences and Physical Activity Engagement Among Survivors of Adolescent and Young Adult Cancers

Objective
The primary objective of this study is test the relationship between total symptom burden and physical activity (PA) engagement in survivors of adolescent and young adult (AYA) cancers.

Treatment The overall objective for this cross-sectional study is to understand the relationship between symptom burden and physical activity (PA) engagement in survivors of adolescent and young adult (AYA) cancers, and to identify preferences for a symptom self-management component within PA interventions. We will survey N=423 survivors of AYA cancers about their symptom experiences (i.e., overall symptom burden and individual symptoms) and current PA engagement. We will also explore PA self-efficacy, PA intentions, and social determinants of health as potential mediators and related factors in the relationship between symptom burden and PA engagement. Participants will complete the online survey via Qualtrics, and the survey is estimated to take 20-30 minutes to complete.

Key Eligibility Potential participants will answer screening questions prior to accessing the study survey to determine eligibility. Screening data will be retained for data quality purposes.
Inclusion Criteria:
-Individuals are eligible if they 1) were diagnosed with cancer between ages 15 and 39, 2) are at least 6 months post-completion of their primary cancer treatment, and 3) can read and write in English.

Exclusion criteria:
-Individuals will be excluded if they 1) have evidence of active disease (i.e., recurrent, metastatic, or multiple primary cancers) or 2) report undergoing (new) primary cancer treatment.
